Jason Sauve aka "Kerosene" is a music Composer, Producer, Engineer and Recording artist - No ones really too sure about the back story of Kerosene. Some say he originates from the deep south. Others say he's a direct decendant of Calamaty Jane and Billy The Kid. He crossed through the swampy waters of the Carolinas and Virginia, and broke bread with the ol blues players then cut a path breaking hearts and writing songs all the way out all the way to rowdy Calgary Stampede where he cut his teeth on foot thumbing western music.
This becomes evident when he grabs the old acoustic steel guitar or fleshes out a tune on the banjo. The influences of his musical travels show up in his stylings like the bluesy open G riffs in songs like "Oh What A Feeling", the dirty slide guitar in "Country In The City". With more swagger in his little finger than most have in their whole body. We hear some of the stories in many SwitchGear songs like "Gypsy Smile" and the heart break ballad of "One More Kiss" Kerosenes swagger and loose, fluid playing lends way to gems like "With Her Boots On!"
He has worked with artists such as Wolvengard, axe slinger Allan Chuley out of the west and Jessy James Brown and his very own rebel rousing band SwitchGear. Kerosene has already been establishing himself as a force in the local music scene. JC also writes music for the production audio markets. View portfolio . Kerosene would like to produce more artists with that special quality. SwitchGear's debut CD Country in the City is available and the group plans to play a variety of fairs and festivals this year.
